I think these guidelines make perfect sense. I think they set a good set of rules for journalists, but I also think the general public would benefit from reading these too. Many people underestimate the importance of censoring thier social networking.
I think it would be incredibly useful to become a fan or member or friend of multiple groups and their competing sides. i think that is great advice that everyone, journalist or not, could learn from.
