Today is daylight savings time

Musharraf imposed emergency rule Saturday, suspending Pakistan's constitution.

The space shuttle had has some damage to a solar wing, but it was fixed by Astronaut Scott Parazynski(don't even think about it, Katy).

Wisconsin's own, Russ Feingold, will vote against Micheal Mukasey for attorney general. .

Rice met with Iraqi PM in Istanbul (not to be confused with Constantinopal)

The 7 French accused of kidnapping orphans in Chad were released

24 sailors of different nationalities were freed on sunday after being captured by pirates 6 months ago after ships were taken over off the coast of Somalia...this almost seems like a silly story, cause when i think pirates, i think captain hook! but its real.

General Mills recalled 5 million pizzas this week because of E. coli. Totinos and Jeno, hope you dont have them in your freezer! They think it's from the pepperoni.

Time name the iPhone the invention of the year.

While this wasn't a big story, I found it very interesting and emotionally touching. On Friday, the NYT posted a story online about the father of a marine killed in Iraq who sued a fundamentalist sect for picketing his son's funeral and won.

Also, several states are giving stays of execution to prisoners until a Supreme Court ruling is made on a case from Kentucky.

Pakistan undergoes more turmoil as they declare emergency rule and suspend the constitution.

Chief Executive of Merrill Lynch retires.

Microsoft outbids Google for stake in Facebook.

All U.S. contractors in Iraq will fall under military rule. Iraq is also proposing a law to take away immunity from contractors in the country.

the trial for the Brazilian guy that was shot in London after 7/7 concluded. Turns out, it's only illegal to shoot a suspected suicide bomber when he's around lots of civilians. One might cause collateral damage with his bullets.
Otherwise, everyone else is off the hook, and the whole incident was written off as a mistake.
