Online Power and Giving

Woah, check out this blog. It's a 9-year-old who is climbing summits to raise money for his school. I remember collecting coins for charity in a rinsed-clean milk carton when I was a kid. What does the Web do for kids who support causes?

(From Evan's Dad) Thank you so much for posting a link to Evan's project site, Summits for My School, on your blog. His mom and I are quite proud of him, and eager to watch him succeed as he climbs and climbs this year. The outpouring of support from family and friends has been amazing, but most shocking has been the support -- both in encouraging words and in money -- that has come from strangers happening upon his project blog. I grew up in northern Illinois, and used to go skiing in your neck of the woods, so I know you've got some good mountains for children to climb up there in Wisconsin. Perhaps they can start some similar projects. Thanks again, and please pass along Evan's project to others who might find it interesting. -- David (Evan's Dad)
